AudioNET® Expands Client Base to Australian Agencies

AudioNET® is launching two new services for advertising agencies in Australia.

"AirCheckSM and Radio Wizard™ have been strategically designed to enhance services to production studios and radio stations by introducing media and creative agencies to the wonders of AudioNET® delivery," says Managing Director Dave Cox.

"To sell and support these new services we've brought a new member into the AudioNET® team. Scott Morrison joined us in August as our Agency Services Manager."

Scott works out of the Sydney office with Client Services Manager Sandy Campbell.

Change in the Air for Radio Monitoring

Radio Monitoring services in Australia are about to get a huge shake-up with the launch of AirCheck, which will be available exclusively to agencies through AudioNET®.

AudioNET® Managing Director Dave Cox says AirCheck has several advantages over existing services.

"AirCheck allows agencies to monitor any spots they want, not just their own. They can monitor their clients' radio sots and their clients' competitors' radio spots. They can use it pro-actively to prepare pitches, by monitoring their competitors' radio campaigns.

"And there's no watermarking. So agencies don't have to plan in advance (or pay for) each individual radio ad they want to monitor," Dave says.

AirCheck is a patented audio fingerprinting technology that collects data on every spot that is broadcast. It belongs to RCS Australia which has licensed AudioNET® as its sales agent to Australian advertising agencies.

"AirCheck's other major advantage is that there is a flat monthly fee per market. Agencies can monitor what they like, when they like and have as many log-ins to the AirCheck website as they like. This makes AirCheck easy to budget for and extremely economical," says Dave.

AirCheck data on radio spots is usually available within around an hour of broadcast. Currently AirCheck is available for Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast radio broadcasting areas.

AudioNET® Conjures Up Magical Help for Media Agencies

The dynamic teaming of Dave's ideas with Vaughan's coding skills has created the AudioNET Radio Wizard™: a new tool for media agencies that generates Material Instructions and dub orders.

"Radio Wizard™ means agencies can enter information from their media plan once, and then generate MIs or dub orders, or both.

MIs for radio stations go direct to traffic managers and as with all AudioNET® features, if there are any changes or cancellations, anyone on the original distribution list is automatically notified.

The crucial feature though, is that AudioNET® will match the delivery of the MIs and dub orders with the corresponding spots.

"When you think about it, it's actually crazy that for years we've been delivering the Material Instructions via email or fax through a media agency and the actual radio commercials get delivered via AudioNET from the production studio, and there hasn't been anything to link the two," says Dave.

"Radio Wizard™ will match MIs with their radio spots, regardless of who sends which piece of information when. And everyone in the delivery chain will be kept in the loop.

"Plus radio station traffic managers will get their MIs in a standard format, with all the information they need, so hopefully that will make their life easier too," Dave says.

Because Radio Wizard™ also generates dub orders, creative agencies don't have to painstakingly replicate information from the media agencies - they can simply check the station list and the key numbers and send it through to the production studios.

"Then the studios find the spot and upload it to fill the Radio Wizard™ dub order. They don't have to copy the information all over again. And AudioNET® will check that the file name of the audio uploaded matches the key numbers on the dub forms," says Dave.

"AudioNET Radio Wizard™ is designed to make radio delivery far more efficient by reducing duplication and therefore the potential for errors. That way we'll all have more time to spend on fun stuff - like being creative.

"As always we had lots of help while we were designing and testing Radio Wizard™. Special thanks to the traffic staff who provided feedback - Brooke & Ben at ARN, Shaun and Catriona at Austereo, Mandy and Cinnamon at DMG and a big thank you to Brian McDermott at Mitchell & Partners."

Great Scott!

AudioNET® has appointed former print sales manager Scott Morrison as Agency Services manager, working out of the Sydney office.

"Although Scott's new to radio he has a great track record in advertising sales and a good sense of humour," says Dave.

Scott has an extremely colourful background: a degree in International Relations and Philosophy from the American University in Washington DC, work experience in the US Army and insurance companies in the US. He also taught English in South Korea before coming to Australia.

"His only vice is he drinks his coffee with artificial sweetener. But apart from that, he's actually a nice guy," says Dave.
